What Is a Decision Wheel?
A decision wheel is a spinner filled with your own choices. You spin it, and it picks one option at random – so you can stop going round in circles and actually do something.
Research on “choice overload” shows that the more options we have, the harder it is to commit. A decision maker wheel removes that pressure: the wheel takes responsibility for the pick, and you get to move on. It’s especially good for low-stakes choices where any option is fine, but choosing still feels exhausting.

How to Make a Decision With the Wheel
- List every realistic option. Only include choices you’d be happy with – if you’d hate one, leave it off.
- Weight your favourites (optional). Add
| 2or| 3to options you lean towards, e.g.Sushi | 2. - Spin once. Commit to the first result – that’s the whole point.
- Use the “regret test”. If the result makes you groan, remove that option and spin again. You just learned something about what you really want.

Tips for Better Decisions With a Spinner
- Keep the list short. 3–8 options works best. More than that and you’ll want to spin again.
- Agree before you spin. In a group, agree that the first spin counts – it avoids endless re-spins.
- Use multiple picks for plans. Set Winners per spin to 3 to build a full day out in one go.
- Save your wheels. Use Share wheel to keep a link to your food wheel, movie wheel or chore wheel.
Decision Wheel vs. Yes or No Wheel
A yes or no wheel answers a single question with two outcomes. A decision wheel chooses between several different options. If your question starts with “Should I…”, use yes or no. If it starts with “Which…” or “What…”, use the decision wheel.

Decision Wheel FAQ
How does a decision wheel work?
You add your options, spin, and the wheel lands on one at random using cryptographic randomness. Every option has an equal chance unless you add weights.
How many options can I add?
As many as you like. For everyday decisions, 3 to 8 options keeps things simple.
Can I make some options more likely?
Yes. Add a weight like Pizza | 3 to give that option three times the chance.
Can the wheel choose more than one option?
Yes. In Settings set Winners per spin to 2, 3, 5 or 10 to get several unique picks.
Is the decision maker wheel free?
Yes, it is completely free with no account or download.
