List Randomizer – Shuffle a List or Pick at Random
Paste any list to shuffle it into a fair random order in one click – or spin the wheel to pick a single random item from the list.
- ✔ Shuffle in 1 click
- ✔ Random order
- ✔ Pick one item
- ✔ Copy or download
One entry per line. Add | 3 after a name to give it 3× the chance (e.g. Ali | 3).
🖼 Add photos to your entries
Photos appear on the wheel and in the winner pop-up. They stay on your device and are never uploaded.
- No spins yet – press Spin.
Every entry’s exact chance of winning the next spin. Bigger weight = bigger slice = higher chance.
Shortcuts: Ctrl + Enter spin · F full screen · Esc close winner
Randomize the Order of Your List
Uses the same entries as the wheel above. Press Randomize list to get a shuffled, numbered order.
What Does a List Randomizer Do?
A list randomizer takes the items you give it and puts them in a completely random order. Instead of picking one winner, you get a full shuffled sequence – first, second, third and so on.
That makes it ideal when order matters: who presents first, the running order of a tournament, which tasks to tackle in what sequence, or the turn order in a game. If you only need one item, spin the wheel instead – it’s a random picker from the same list.

How to Randomize a List
- Paste your list into the Entries box (one item per line) or upload a CSV/TXT file.
- Press “Randomize list”. The full list is shuffled into a new random order.
- Copy or download the numbered result to share it in chat, email or a spreadsheet.
- Need one item? Spin the wheel to pick a single random entry from the same list.
How the Shuffle Works (Fisher–Yates)
The list randomizer uses the Fisher–Yates shuffle, the standard algorithm for fair shuffling. It walks backwards through the list and swaps each item with a randomly chosen earlier position. Every possible order is equally likely – with 10 items that’s 3,628,800 possible orders.
The random numbers come from your browser’s cryptographic generator, which is far less predictable than simple “Math.random” shuffles used by many basic tools.
| Items in list | Possible random orders |
|---|---|
| 3 | 6 |
| 5 | 120 |
| 10 | 3,628,800 |
| 20 | 2.4 quintillion |

List Randomizer FAQ
How do I randomize a list?
Paste your items into the Entries box, one per line, and press Randomize list. You get a numbered, shuffled order you can copy or download.
Is the shuffle truly random?
Yes. It uses the Fisher-Yates algorithm with cryptographic random numbers, so every order is equally likely.
Can I pick just one random item?
Yes. Spin the wheel to pick a single random item from the same list.
Is there a limit to the list size?
No hard limit. Lists with thousands of items shuffle instantly.
Is my list saved or uploaded?
Your list stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
