What Is a Yes or No Wheel?
A yes or no wheel is a two-slice spinner that answers a question at random. Think of it as a coin flip you can watch – the wheel spins, slows down and points to either Yes or No.
It’s perfect for the small decisions that eat up time: “Should I order takeaway?”, “Do we watch one more episode?”, “Should I text them first?”. When both options feel equally good (or equally bad), letting the wheel decide breaks the deadlock and keeps things fun.

How to Use the Yes or No Spinner
- Think of a yes/no question. Say it out loud or type it in your head – the clearer the question, the more satisfying the answer.
- Spin the wheel. Tap the wheel, the Spin button or press Ctrl + Enter.
- Accept the answer – or notice your reaction. If you feel relieved or disappointed when it lands, that feeling is often your real answer.
Yes or No Wheel Variations
Yes / No / Maybe
Add a third line, Maybe, in the Entries box. Each answer then has a 33.3% chance.
Yes / No / Ask again
Add Ask again for a magic-8-ball style spinner that sometimes refuses to answer.
Best of three
Spin three times and check the Results tab’s win count – the answer with 2 wins decides.
Weighted yes or no
Type Yes | 2 to make Yes twice as likely (66.7%). Handy for “nudge me” decisions.
Truth or dare
Swap the entries for Truth and Dare and use it at parties and sleepovers.
Heads or tails
Use the Coin flip template when you need a classic heads/tails call.
Is the Yes or No Wheel 50/50?
Yes. With only Yes and No on the wheel, each answer has exactly a 50% chance on every spin. The result is picked with your browser’s cryptographic random generator, so it isn’t affected by previous spins – getting “No” three times in a row is unlucky, not rigged (it happens about once in every eight sets of three spins).
| Wheel setup | Chance of Yes | Chance of No |
|---|---|---|
| Yes, No | 50% | 50% |
| Yes, No, Maybe | 33.3% | 33.3% (Maybe 33.3%) |
| Yes | 2, No | 66.7% | 33.3% |
| Yes, No | 3 | 25% | 75% |
